Izzy Gil Spotlight

About Izzy Gil

Izzy Gil is a props artist and maker with a strong passion for storytelling through hands-on craft and design. She is currently a senior at Montpelier High School (MHS), where she has spent four years involved in theater. After beginning her journey as an actor, Izzy stepped into the role of Props Master this year, discovering a deep love for the creative and technical problem-solving that happens behind the scenes.

In the summer of 2025, Izzy studied technical theater through the MPulse program at the University of Michigan, where she gained hands-on experience in prop fabrication, research, painting, and construction techniques. She brought many of these new skills back to her work with Masque, Montpelier High School Theater, applying professional practices and fresh ideas to her school productions.

Izzy is excited to continue her education and hopes to attend college for technical theater, with a focus on props and production design. She thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys transforming ideas into tangible objects that help bring stories to life on stage.
